Please send this letter to your legislator urging full funding for Thornton educational programs.

Governor O'Malley has called for a special legislative session to begin October 29, 2007 to address a $1.7 billion deficit.  Your voice is needed to preserve funding for our schools.  Make public schools and students a top budget priority.

I urge you to fully fund Thornton. Complete funding, including the monies for inflation, will allow schools to continue the progress they have made toward educational excellence and equity for all of Maryland's students.

Keep the Thornton promise. Please don't cut or delay funding for education. Maryland's future depends upon enhanced state funding in order to provide a first-rate education for all students.
