Delta Get Out the Vote Efforts

Voting is about to be underway in the Delta flight attendants’ historic AFA union election and they need your assistance.  While they are doing a remarkable job in securing victory, many of their peers have questions from AFA members.  To that end, we are requesting AFA member volunteers to assist in coordinated efforts at key Delta domiciles and phone banks.

Important Dates:

April 23:          Voting Instructions mailed and polls open (telephone and internet voting)

April 23:          Airport Visibility begins

April 24:          Phone banking begins

May 27:           Phone banking ends

May 28:           Vote count

Phone banks – assist Delta flight attendants with phoning their peers to ensure they have voted and to answer any remaining questions they may have.

Ø      Atlanta (ATL)                               April 25 – May 27

Ø      Salt Lake City (SLC)                    April 26 – May 27

Ø      Washington, DC (DCA)               April 24 – May 27

Ø      Fort Lauderdale (FLL)                 April 25 – May 27

Ø      Los Angeles (LAX)                      April 26 – May 11

Ø      Cincinnati (CVG)                         April 25 – May 11

Ø      Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)             April 25 – May 11

Ø      New York City (NYC)                 April 25 – May 11

Visibility –assist Delta flight attendants with conversations with their peers in person.  We may have volunteers walk the terminal with Delta Flight Attendants.

Locations: ATL, SLC, JFK (Kew Gardens)

Dates: April 25 – May 27 – ongoing:  specific times and dates will vary by location

Currently we have in each location at least one Delta, AFA and CWA lead assigned to each visibility and phone bank location.  We have members currently assigned from Alaska, America West (US Airways West), Northwest, United and US Airways.  We are so proud of the phenomenal work they have to done to date and we look forward to involving many more volunteers in this final effort.
