School Board Impasse Hearing Campaign

Let the School Board members know that no matter how they vote Tuesday night, we are going to keep fighting for equitable salary increases and improved working conditions.

This fight did not start with the impasse process and it will not end on Tuesday, the following week, month or year. It will not end until all school employees receive competitive salaries, affordable health insurance, and healthy and safe working conditions.

Please show your support by sending an e-mail message to school board members right now; participate in Blue Flu Tuesday by wearing blue on Tuesday; AND ATTEND THE IMPASSE HEARING RALLY AT 5:30 P.M. ON TUESDAY, MARCH 24 AT PLANTATION HIGH SCHOOL'S AUDITORIUM.

Subject: Where's our stimulus dollars?

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

Last year the district spent $58 million less than they planned on instruction (including teacher salaries), but still budgeted $25 million more this year for instruction than they actually spent last year (with 60 fewer teachers). That's more than enough money to promise teachers a raise.

Sincerely,
