Urgent Pension Alert: Two-tier pension plan amendments introduced in Senate

State Sen. Don Harmon (D-Oak Park) has introduced amendments to House Bill 2643 that would establish a two-tier pension plan for all state-funded systems. Sen. Harmon is the Senate sponsor of HB 2643. Amendment #1 to HB 2643 creates the two-tier plan; amendment #2 contains the two-tier language along with funding and health insurance reductions. These amendments could be called for a vote at any time, so it is urgent that you take action now.

Please call your state senator and ask him or her to urge Sen. Harmon to withdraw or table these harmful amendments.
