Write Governor Paterson urging him to adopt OMCE's pay cut restoration proposals.

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am an M/C employee working at the State (Department/Agency). I have _________ years of service and work hard to serve the people of New York.

I am angry and hurt that you are withholding my salary increase (add performance advance, longevity if applicable) that was to be paid on April 1, 2009.

I understand shared sacrifice, doing more with less and all the other buzz words that have been used to describe what you want the state workforce to give up. Taking from M/Cs when all other state employees have not given up anything - no salary or benefit withholdings - is not only unfair, it puts me at a monetary disadvantage compared to those represented employees that I supervise and work with, and makes me question why my employer would have so little regard for my service and dedication to serving the people of New York State.

I need my salary increase. My living costs continue to go up and I am hard pressed to keep up without my salary increases. (Add personal impact story here, if you wish).

I know that OMCE (The Organization of NYS Management/Confidential Employees) has been working with your administration to identify alternative savings options. Please continue to work with OMCE and implement their proposals.
