Largest Federal Worker Union Says Senator Deeds Will Keep Virginia Moving Forward
(WASHINGTON) – The nation's largest federal employee union today announced its endorsement of Senator Creigh Deeds for Governor of Virginia. The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 600,000 federal workers, nationwide and over 30,000 in Virginia made the decision to support Deeds based on his commitment to improve the lives of working families across the state.

"Whether it has been fighting to create good jobs or writing some of the toughest legislation to keep our families and our environment safe and secure, Senator Deeds has shown that he can build the consensus necessary to keep Virginia moving forward. We believe that Creigh Deeds has the ability and the judgment to continue to unite Virginians around real solutions to the problems facing working families through out the state".
