Will Goodo Got Fired
Last January, Comcast fired Oakland, Calif., dispatcher Will Goodo. The company said it was because of a customer complaint. But there’s evidence there was no customer complaint against Will, a strong supporter of workers’ freedom to form unions.
If you are a Comcast customer, please send this message to Arthur Block, Comcast’s secretary and general counsel, urging the company to reinstate Will and give him the wages he’s lost over nearly a year.

Subject: Give Will Goodo His Job Back
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am a Comcast customer who is concerned about Mr. Will Goodo, an Oakland, Calif., dispatcher who was discharged from his job on Jan. 23, 2006, allegedly because of a customer complaint. There is evidence that no customer complaint was ever made.
As a Comcast customer, I urge you to reinstate Mr. Goodo with full back pay and not let this matter continue into the new year. I would like you to respond to me about whether I, as a customer, am being used as the basis for discharging or disciplining a Comcast worker. Finally,
I want to know the results of Comcast's Code of Ethics investigation in Mr. Goodo's case or when the findings will be available.
The injustice done to Mr. Goodo is certainly not in keeping with the spirit or letter of the Comcast Code of Ethics. Comcast should follow its own "Credo" that commits the company to "be true to the highest standards of honesty, fairness and integrity."
It's time for Comcast to right an injustice done to one of its employees, Mr. Will Goodo.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
A Comcast Cable Customer
