Support SustiNet

H.B. 6600, better known as SustiNet, passed the House last week with voting along mostly party lines. Thanks to all for the many phone calls and postcards sent to legislators and for showing up at events when called. It made a difference so you should take pride in the success so far.

RIGHT NOW we need you to call your State Senator and implore them to push Senate leadership to get it to the Senate floor for a vote, and to pass it WITHOUT AMENDMENT. If amended, it would have to go back to the House and be subject to a possible (if not probable) filibuster that would be the death of the bill.

Also, calls need to be made to our grassroots supporters. If you have time to do phone banking, you can do it right from your home. Call Mary Elia (203-932-1576 or Joella Bouchard-Mudry to learn how! Now is the time to pump-up or activity level for ONE MORE WEEK to be sure we get this passed and signed.
