Michigan’s budget crisis has not been solved, elected officials will have to make some tough decisions about how to balance Michigan’s FY 2010 budget before the one month continuing budget runs out.   Please contact your Representative and Senator to tell them we cannot solve the budget crisis with cuts alone, we need to look for revenue generating policies as well.

As someone who works in education I can tell you there's just no more room to cut. We need to solve the budget crisis with more than just cuts.

Schools are closing, class sizes are going up, and tuition is rising. We know better than anyone that the turnaround of our state is dependent on high quality education at all levels. Our students cannot afford further cuts that will undermine their education.

We can't solve the budget crisis with cuts alone, we need to look for revenue-generating policies. The "cut now, adjust later" proposal is just too dangerous for our students.
