They Are Voting on the State Budget RIGHT NOW
The State House is voting on pieces of the state budget, including K-12, right now. They are "locked in" the House chamber. The Higher Education Budget just passed and the news is not good. We may still have a chance to stop the K-12 budget but it requires you, your colleagues, and family to email or call RIGHT NOW.

Subject: Please Don't Hurt our Students' Education
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
As you vote on the K-12 budget today, please remember that these cuts will hurt our students and their chance to get the best education possible. Already schools are closing, class sizes are increasing, and resources are limited. Strong education at all levels will only help the economic recovery in this state.
This budget problem will only be solved with a conbination of cuts and tax increases. Please vote in a way that really shows you support educaiton.
