Greetings,

 Remembering Mark B. Bigelow

AFA Attorney & Friend

AFA Council 66 is sad to communicate the loss of a true friend, AFA Attorney Mark B. Bigelow. Mark lost his battle with cancer last night. We thank Mark for his 26 years of service to so many AFA carriers in arbitrations and grievances.

He worked closely with Council 66 for more than 14 years as our first
arbitration attorney following the election of AFA at America West in 1994.  Mark also helped win the first arbitration case in 2000 in defense of the 1999 contract and continued as our arbitration attorney through 2008.

Mark was known for his brilliant mind , creativity, and terrific sense of humor.  He was always willing to take great risks that reaped the greatest rewards for our members.

Mark leaves behind his wife Gail and three children.

Mark, you were one of a kind and you will truly be missed, but remembered forever.
