Mexico Flights Reduced

On May 1st  the company announced its plans to reduce flights to and from Mexico from May 10th through July 2nd.  The overall amount of flights to Mexico that will be affected will be 38%.

The following cities will be impacted due to this reduction. Acapulco (ACA); Cabo/Los Cabos (SJD); Cancun (CUN); Cozumel (CZM); Guadalajara (GDL); Guaymas (GYM); Hermasillo (HMO); Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH); Manzanillo (ZLO); Mazatlan (MZT); Mexico City (MEX); and Puerto Vallarta (PVR).

If you have customers who have concerns or questions about their flights please give them the following number: 1-800-428-4322.

What we as flight attendants need to know is section 7-D of our contract. Specifically the “Reroute Prior To Report Time In Domicile” language in our contract. If you have a trip that will be affected by these reductions you have a duty to know your contractual rights.

LEC Meeting

Thursday May 21st at 2:00PM in the Union office conference room.

We have been to the airport several days the past month, and the question that comes up the most is, “How do you the Negotiators, know what we the Flight Attendants want while negotiating for a contract?” The answer is?we have Local Executive Council meetings.

This is your chance to come hear what is going on in negotiations, and voice your opinion. We look forward to seeing you there!
