VLOA FAQ's

VLOA & Furlough Process

If you apply for one of the VLOA packages and not enough flight attendants senior to you have been awarded the VLOAs, you will not be awarded the VLOA, and may be involuntarily furloughed.    To be very clear, a more senior flight attendant will NOT be furloughed out of seniority by a more junior flight attendant because the junior flight attendant chose to apply for a VLOA. Furloughs will only be accomplished in seniority order from most junior to most senior.
