Employment Non-Discrimination Act Now!
The Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA) will be introduced in the House of Representatives this week as H.R. 2981.
This landmark civil rights legislation would extend federal employment discrimination protections to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans. These same protections are already provided based on a person's race, religion, gender, national origin, age, and disability.
There is not yet a bill in the Senate, though we expect one to be introduced later this year. However, it is important to let your representatives and senators know that you want a transgender-inclusive ENDA passed this session.
