What's At Stake?

FAIR PAY RESTORATION ACT

-Restoring basic protections against pay discrimination.

-Preventing future cases of pay discrimination as employers will be pressured to pay their workers what they deserve and avoid litigation.

-Compensation for the wages they have been denied- Prior to the Ledbetter decision, the "paycheck accrual rule" allowed for each discriminatory paycheck to be counted as an individual act of discrimination that started its own 180 day time frame for workers to file a discrimination claim. Workers must regain their ability to demand redress for weeks, months or years of pay discrimination.
