America is going the wrong way, and most people are feeling it. There is something wrong when almost everybody who is not a multimillionaire thinks the only things their children will inherit are a mess of problems and debts. There is something wrong when our bridges are falling down and oil company profits are shooting up. That is not the way America is supposed to be.

We all face the same problems. On our own, things keep getting worse. Together, we can do something about them.

2008 is the time to get together to Turn Around America—and here’s a plan to do just that:

1. An economic stimulus package designed to put money in the hands of working families, not to give windfalls to corporations.
2. Mortgage relief to homeowners, not a bail-out for lenders.
3. Real health care reform that protects our families, not insurance company profits.
4. Workers’ freedom to form unions and bargain for a better life.
5. Say no to an economy for the privileged few. Say yes to an economy that works for all.
