This legislation is critical to protect the safety of public sector workers in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. With the bill's passage, AFT public employees in these states will be able to enjoy the same worker protections as their colleagues in the private sector.
