Fourteen students at State University of New York (SUNY) Purchase College were arrested during a peaceful protest in support of 80 food service workers on their campus after the vendor, Chartwells, refused to sign an agreement to respect its employees’ freedom to choose a union without intimidation. Meanwhile, workers continue to face an anti-worker campaign from Chartwells, including mandatory group meetings and anti-union videos.

Please take a moment to send a letter to ask SUNY Purchase President Thomas Schwarz to drop all charges against the students and tell Chartwells CEO Steve Sweeney to immediately sign the agreement to respect his employees’ freedom to choose a union.
