On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Schwarzenegger called a press conference to announce what he called a new budget “compromise”. The compromises are clear in this plan – he wants to compromise our right to an 8-hour day, our right to a meal period and our right to overtime pay.

He’s proposing all these takeaways to appease his corporate donors, and we need to fight back now to make sure these disastrous ideas don’t gain any traction in the ongoing budget negotiations.
