Steve Buehrer (R-Delta) has introduced a civil service reform bill, HB 187 — this time during the lame duck legislative session. In spite of the recent message sent by the voters that they want to clean up the corruption in state government, the bill would decrease accountability and return political considerations and cronyism to government service. OCSEA is encouraging union members to call or email legislators to let them know we oppose this radical weakening of civil service laws.
