Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit CWA e-Activist Center. The short explanation of this alert was: Support Consumers Right to Know Bill A-3529/S-2611 Consumers increasingly use the telephone or internet to buy goods and services, inquire about transactions and bills, and get technical support or other information. Studies indicate that more than 70 percent of customer interaction occurs in call centers. Consumers have the right to know who they are talking to in these transactions. Many companies do not operate their own customer service operations. Customers place confidence in the transaction based on the brand name and reputation of the company, without realizing that the person they are talking with does not work for that company. The customer may be giving credit card information to a convicted felon who is taking airline reservations from a prison-based call center. You can help make this bill a reality by filling in your name and address information below to send an email in support. If you would like to view details on this alert, please visit here. |
