The short explanation of this alert was:
CVS/pharmacy was recently granted $4.75 million of New York State tax dollars and incentives to build a massive distribution center in Chemung. Although hard working New Yorkers have helped to fund the project, CVS has hired out-of-state contractors and workers to build the facility. Workers from over 600 miles away are coming to Chemung to take jobs away from local laborers. In addition, CVS is paying these workers sub-standard wages. If local tax payers are paying for the warehouse, they deserve to be able to build it and to earn area standard wages and benefits for their work. New York State taxes should create New York State jobs!
