Support CORI Reform!

It is now clear-more than ever-that decades of so-called "TOUGH on crime" public policies have dramatically increased prison, probation, and parole spending while failing to curb recidivism. The Senate's adoption of comprehensive CORI reform reversed this course by balancing the concerns of law enforcement, employers, and the community.

Now, everyone agrees that CORI REFORM is a "SMART on crime" approach that Stops the Revolving Door of Recidivism, Strengthens Families and Cuts Costs to Taxpayers.

But the job is not done.

Now the Commonwealth CORI Coalition needs your help again!

Send a message to your State Representative and Senators that you need reform TODAY!

Talking Points

What  is CORI Reform?

The Criminal Offender Record (CORI)  system prevents thousands of ex-offenders from becoming productive members of society and contributors to a declining workforce. Without access to employment and housing ex-offenders are not encouraged to work hard and play by the rules. To help create a stronger and safer Massachusetts, we need to reform the CORI system to create a smarter approach to reduce recidivism, end the cycle of crime, homelessness and unemployment.  These reforms are supported by a broad coalition of labor, religious, legislative and community leaders throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
