Tell Your Senator: Fund Health Care Reform the Right Way
We need health care reform now in order to protect our hard won health care benefits. Reform that requires all employers to pay their fair share and ensures that retirees have affordable coverage that they can count on. Reform that does not impose an unfair tax on employers who do the right thing and provide good benefits for their employees.
The Senate Finance Commitee's proposal would tax health care plans. As hard as it is to believe, this would put even more pressure at the bargaining table for even more health care concessions. Our retirees would be most affected by this. Because of their greater health care needs, their plans are more expensive. With this tax, retiree health plans could be targeted by employers for elimination. And this proposal does not require all employers to pay for health insurance for their employees.
Tell your Senator we need health care reform that does not tax workers' health care and make all employers pay their fair share. Write your letter today!
