Stop H-1B Abuse

Citing an alleged skill shortage, big business is pushing for an  unbridled expansion of the H-1B and L-1 visa programs to bring in technical workers. Unfortunately, some politicians have been suckered into supporting these claims. There exists no independent, unbiased, statistical evidence of such shortages.

In reality, H-1B and L-1 visa holders have displaced hundreds of thousands of experienced American citizen engineers, scientists, and programmers, resulting in the loss of considerable specialized knowledge.

Intended to resolve spot labor shortages, these have become "guest worker" programs. They create a class of cheap workers, depress American wages, and are widely abused.

We need to close loopholes in the H-1B visa program that harm American workers and reestablish the original purpose of the program.
