The short explanation of this alert was:

After six years of doing nothing, the Bush administration finally proposed a plan to address the health care crisis. But the Bush plan is the same plan favored by big business interests--a "pay more/get less" plan that pushes working families into high-deductible plans and health savings accounts (HSAs) with higher out-of-pocket costs.

Not only that, but the Bush administration plan would shortchange the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), which provides coverage to children. There are already 9 million uninsured children in the United States. This number would increase under the Bush administration proposal.

At the end of the day, working families would pay more and get less. This is unacceptable. Tell Bush & Co. to stop blocking meaningful health care reform.
