The short explanation of this alert was:

The Kennedy-Bush immigration bill will allow employers to import hundreds of thousands of temporary workers to perform tasks currently assigned to hard working and fairly paid American workers.

The serflike conditions proposed for these new guest workers to be employed under will only serve to further harm working conditions for American workers.

The construction industry alone has seen wages depressed by as much as 30% since the early 1980s.  This bill will only further hasten that decline instead of address it in a constructive fashion.

Now is the time to make your voice heard.  Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper about your views on this bill.  Below are several talking points regarding this bill that you can use in a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
