The short explanation of this alert was:
This Thursday, the House of Representatives will begin consideration of a bill concerning the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA.) Please take the time to urge your Congressperson to support an amendment that would increase 2007 funding for the NEA. The bill under consideration does not provide any increase to the current NEA funding level. This increase would allow the NEA to keep up with inflation, and improve its level of service to the American people.

Please take a moment to contact your Representative to increase funding for the arts.
