Nuclear power is the most economical and only proven large-scale source of emission-free energy. As such, it must be a critical component in any energy policy that realistically seeks to reduce greenhouse gases and put America on the road to energy independence. In addition to reducing global warming and making our country more secure, the sustained and increased use of nuclear energy strengthens our economy by providing highly-skilled, good paying domestic jobs.
