Since it opened, the Western Missouri Mental Health Center has been Kansas City's facility providing services to community members with acute psychiatric needs. The Center provides top-notch quality services, as well as employs over 150 Kansas City citizens. The Western Missouri Mental Health Center WORKS, and has always served an important need in Kansas City. They do their job well. We know this, because the Center is currently a public structure and therefore is accountable to us, the citizens of Kansas City. RIGHT NOW, a for-profit company called Truman Medical is attempting to take over this center and privatize all of its services. This means that the high-quality services being provided and our jobs are being threatened! And worse yet, if profit-driven Truman Medical succeeds, the Center and its services will be accountable to NO ONE but themselves.
HELP US STOP THE TRUMAN MEDICAL TAKEOVER!
