Please join the Bay Area labor community and Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher on Friday, February 27, for a public forum detailing how the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 – otherwise known as the federal stimulus package – will impact Bay Area workers.

Labor leaders, joined by Caltrans Director Will Kempton, will discuss how federal stimulus package recovery dollars will impact the Bay Area’s hard-hit transportation and construction industries.  Rep. Tauscher, who was a key proponent of President Obama’s federal stimulus package in Congress, will explain how provisions of the stimulus package will create jobs and jumpstart the northern California economy in the coming months.
