Let your legislators know that you are counting on their vote for an override of the SustiNet and the Connecticut Healthcare Partnership (pooling) vetos. We must encourage our legislators harder than ever to ensure that these bills are called for an override vote -- and that the vote is successful.

As a constituent, I am writing to ask for your commitment to override Governor Rell's veto of SustiNet, Public Act 09-148 and the Connecticut Healthcare Partnership, Public Act 09-147.
As you know, the House and Senate overwhelmingly supported SustiNet and the Connecticut Healthcare Partnership, and it is disappointing that Governor Rell chose to ignore your vote of support.
SustiNet organizes and focuses existing state resources so that there are minimal costs on the state during the first two years. With the public oversight board in place, we'll also be able to quickly implement any national reform efforts that come into effect, while preparing for the reform we need here in Connecticut. And, by 2012, Connecticut will have a high quality, affordable health care choice for everyone.
The Connecticut Healthcare Partnership opens the state employee health insurance pool to municipal, nonprofit, and small business workers. It will result in lower costs for everyone.
Please support SustiNet and the Connecticut Healthcare Partnership. Connecticut needs both!
