  Re:  NYS Buyout Agreement

I am pleased to announce that the buyout agreement with New York State has been finalized.  Executive Branch employees who are targeted by their agencies will receive a $20,000 payment if they retire or leave State service prior to November 11, 2009.  This payment can be taken in either a lump sum or two $10,000 payments.

Please remember, to be eligible for this buyout, an employee’s position must be targeted by their agency.
