Don't Pass this Budget!

The Illinois House of Representatives is due to pass an inadequate operating budget today. We must continue to pressure our senators to support the 1% income tax increase that would be phased in over 4 years. The income tax increase is the only sustainable revenue stream that will reform the way public education is funded. Write, call, or e-mail your state senator to support raising the income tax for education and defeat the patchwork budget passed by the House. Education must have sustainable income.
