"You're Getting to Them!"

Yesterday, company representatives got up from the bargaining table in New York for a call with company management in D.C. about our mobilization efforts. There's no question, our bargainers say, "You're getting to them. We hear it from the company." Great work! Keep it up!

Here's a brief round-up of just some of the activities that have been getting under the company's skin.

Picketing, Rallying, Then Picketing and Rallying Some More

Thursday saw picket lines at hundreds of Verizon locations across the East . . . a huge Boston rally with 1,000 IBEW and CWA members at Verizon's New England headquarters, led by motorcycles . . . close to 200 L. 1400 members traveled to the Boston rally . . . L. 2336's rally and BBQ in Washington, D.C. . . . joint CWA & IBEW rally in Newark . . . . . . L. 2205 picketed at the Airport Rd. CSSC, Luck Ave. CO & Oakland Blvd. CMC and members have put up signs in their personal cars . . . rally in Syracuse . . . 200 members of L. 1101 and L. 1105 went back to 140 West St. and took over half the street; "the crowd kept growing and growing over the lunch hour" L. 2275 in Virginia has been practice picketing all week at Smithfield, Stafford, Manassas, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Courtland with the help of retirees (and has been continuing its COPE and EFCA sign-ups!) . . . picketing at all Brooklyn garages, with larger rallies at 7 garages by members of L. 1109 and L. 1105 . . .
