Alert for Verizon Locals

Possible Interference with
Verizon Proxy Voting

We are concerned that someone may be attempting to interfere with shareholders' casting votes against management's reccommendations at the upcoming Verizon annual meeting.

If you receive a phone call regarding your proxy, please take careful notes, and try to get answers to the following questions:

  • Name of caller
  • Phone number they are calling from
  • Company/organization they are calling from

Please pay particular attention to any instructions the caller provides regarding how to vote your proxy.

Do not allow the caller to take your vote over the phone.  While it is possible to vote legitimately over the phone, typically this is done by an automated process and requires you to provide the control  number printed on your proxy.  If someone encourages you to have them take down your vote over the phone, you should decline.

If you receive a phone call, please contact Tony Daley in the CWA Research Department at 202-434-9515 or tdaley@cwa-union.org
