Update for Local Officers

What Verizon Managers Are Saying Behind our Backs

Since techs at Verizon Business went public with their organizing campaign, Verizon has cranked up its anti-union campaign. At captive audience meetings, managers are tearing down CWA and IBEW. Here's a report from a VZB tech.

"Just returned from the company's Captive audience meeting. WOW... A lot of (Union Yes!) lanyards were being worn by at least half of the 'audience'.

"The meeting basically consisted of 2 people from HR and about 25 employees. The meeting lasted a good 3 hours.

"To slander the Union... HR brought up and touched on items like the specific Local's Constitution, its By-Laws, its initiation fees, and its LM2 report. They also spit out info about Union delegate salaries and how the Union leaders live high and mighty off of OUR dues."

Techs at the meeting stood strong and responded:

"Well they didn't get too far with those statements once union supporters countered with the BILLIONS of dollars in bonuses that our own upper management got while we were told there is no money in the budget for raises or bonuses for the working man."

We must not allow management to continue this outrageous behavior! We must do everything we can to support the Verizon Business workers who are fighting to organize.
