REMINDER:
March Merger Mixers in SAN DIEGO &
LAS VEGAS!
Pre-BOD Meeting in MANHATTAN
BEACH!
Council 98 would like to remind you about our "Merger
Mixers" in March. They are a great way to get to know
our Delta peers in a casual environment. Our next two
events will be held in San Diego on Thursday, March 5th and
Las Vegas on Tuesday, March 10th (click HERE
for attachment and details; Council 97 SFO's
Wednesday, March 11 meeting information also included in
attachment).
Please bring an appetizer
or sweet that will serve six guests.
Our pre-Board of Directors annual meeting is
Friday, March 6th in Manhattan Beach. We'll discuss items
on the BOD agenda which could change the AFA-CWA Constitution
and Bylaws and Policy Manual. This meeting will allow you
the chance to voice your opinion – as a member in good
standing – about how you think our democratically elected
local President should vote on these issues. We will provide lunch at this
meeting.
At all three of these events, we are pleased to
welcome Mary Lou Savage, AFA Senior
Benefits Attorney, who will present the membership
and our Delta colleagues with detailed information about the
differences between health and retirement benefits at Northwest
and Delta. Please see the attached pdf for
a detailed Benefits Presentation schedule.
Our MEC Member Engagement
Committee Chair Angela Brewer will be joining us in
San Diego and Manhattan Beach to share information about our
campaign to retain union representation – and what
you can do to help protect our contract.
We
look forward to seeing you and our local Delta colleagues.
