Engineers and Scientists of California, Local 20 IFPTE, AFL-CIO is a dynamic, democratic and activist union which represents nearly 5,000 engineers, scientists, technologists, and medical professionals at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, United Airlines, Kaiser Permanente, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other employers throughout Northern California. ESC Local 20 organizes in the workplace and engages in political and community advocacy in order to promote better wages and working conditions for professional and technical workers, and to increase respect for employees’ professional status and the work we do.
