Dear ESC Local 20 members,

Thanks to the 150 members who attended our recent protest at PG&E Headquarters in May!  With a very strong showing from the Diablo Canyon Power Plant, we made a strong statement for fairness.

However, it appears that PG&E is still not listening.  On June 1, PG&E announced that it has implemented its "last and final offer" for Hydro Professionals at PG&E.  This package will reduce pension benefits for employees with over 35 years of service, and create a "two-tier" salary structure where recent hires cannot earn as much as experienced professionals, no matter how long they work or how qualified they become.  As a final insult, PG&E said it will strip these employees of a bonus program worth about 11% of their pay -- a disastrous cut in compensation!

Tell PG&E to stop dumping on their green workforce.

Peter Darbee, the CEO of PG&E, is making a high-profile public appearance at the Edison Electric Institute Convention.  It is a get-together of the executives of all the largest Investor Owned Utilities in the country.  Darbee is the "host" of the convention, and will be speaking along with the president of Environmental Defense Fund to try to burnish his "green image."

This is the perfect opportunity to expose PG&E's unfair treatment of its green workforce!  Please help us by taking 1 hour of your time to attend our informational protest.
