New Benefits Agreement: Vote YES!

Ballots are in the mail for your vote on changes to benefits programs including health insurance, retiree health insurance, dental, vision and retirement savings (401k).  The package represents an important improvement for all employees, and especially for retirees. 

All of your union leadership and staff strongly endorse this new benefits plan.  Although health care benefits for active employees will cost more, this is more than offset by improvements in the quality of benefits, dramatic cost savings in retiree health care, and the increase in company 401(k) matching. 

Our union has members today who are delaying their retirement because they cannot afford the health insurance.  Current retirees are facing the same increasing costs, which are in danger of consuming their entire pensions. This benefits package will dramatically lower their costs – and yours, once you retire!  Even if you are not near retirement, the package will provide better health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Annual PG&E Membership Meeting and LEAP Poker Tournament

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2009

8:30am Registration and Coffee , 9:00am Meeting Begins

Buffet Lunch is provided

All ESC Local 20 members in good standing employed by PG&E are strongly urged to attend and participate in the meeting! Please RSVP by September 30 to esc@ifpte20.org or 415-543-8320.

And, immediately after lunch, at 2:00pm, join your ESC Local 20 brothers and sisters for:

ESC LEAP Texas Hold’em Tournament!

(LEAP is ESC’s Legislative Education and Action Program)

In order to participate, you must be or sign up to become a regular LEAP contributor ($10 per pay period minimum), or buy in for $100.  1 prize – Blue Ray Player with discs, 2 Prize – iPod, 3 Prize – ESC Jacket.  All funds raised will go towards ESC’s legislative programs.
