Thank you for Supporting Early Childhood Educators

All the work you did during our recent Worthy Wage Day campaign has been noticed in Washington. The U.S. Senate passed the “Worthy Wage Day Resolution” (S. Res. 479) in support of all First Class Teachers and other early childhood educators.

This resolution, which was passed by unanimous consent, calls for all Americans to honor early childhood educators and programs in their communities and calls for more public money to solve the chronic teacher compensation crisis.

Take a minute to send a “thank you” note to your Senators for passing this resolution using the form on the right.

Thank you for helping to make Congress recognize the worth of early childhood educators.

Subject: Thank you for Supporting Early Childhood Educators

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am writing to thank you for passing Senate Resolution 479, designating May 1, 2006 as National Child Care Worthy Wage Day.

As an advocate for high-quality early childhood education, I support any effort to give the teachers in that industry the raises, rights, and respect they deserve.

The early childhood industry is vital to the American economy, but these workers are plagued with low wages and high turnover. I urge you to continue this fight in the Senate to address this situation.

Thanks again for standing up for early childhood educators. I look forward to hearing more positive news on your actions in Washington.

Sincerely,
