Honor Fallen Flight Attendants

H.R. 5159 would award Congressional medals of honor to our flying partners who were killed on United Flight 93.  While AFA supports the awarding of medals to all of our flying partners who were murdered by terrorists on September 11th, this bill provides us with an opportunity to obtain recognition for some of the brave women and men who were the first casualties of September 11th.  We are asking you to send the attached e activist letter to your Member of Congress.

There are some Members of Congress like Charles Taylor, Republican from North Carolina, who oppose this effort to honor our flying partners based on purely partisan and ideological grounds.  This bill is both compassionate and appropriate and will help us in our effort to honor all of our brave flying partners whose lives ended prematurely.

Subject: Honor Flight Attendants Support H.R. 5159

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am a Flight Attendant and I support H.R. 5159. This bill would recognize my fellow flying partners who were brutally murdered by terrorists in their attempt to take over United Airlines Flight 93 and award them the Congressional Medal of Honor. Please contact the office of Congressman Bill Shuster to become a cosponsor.

H.R 5159 will help all of us remember our flying partners who died on September 11th. It is the right thing to do for my flying partners and the families they left behind. This bill has over 60 cosponsors and is truly bipartisan, but we need your help to make sure that those who died in one of the most brutal attacks on our nation are not forgotten.

I believe that the cabin crew of all four doomed flights that day deserve to have this honor bestowed upon them as my flying partners were used to lure pilots out from the flight deck so the terrorists could take over the controls. I hope the day comes when all my flying partners will be remembered by Congress, in the meantime I ask you to help honor the crew from Flight 93 by cosponsoring H.R. 5159. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
