GAO ANALYSTS MESSAGING CENTER

Greetings,

GAO Analysts' Recommendations on

GAO Act of 2007-H.R.3268 Delivered to Congress

On Friday, November 2, 2007, GAO Analysts recommended language to Congressional authorizers for GAO Act of 2007, H.R. 3268. This reauthorization bill includes the Comptroller General's Human Capital III reforms. The bill, as introduced in the House of Representatives, can be read here.

Previous issues of the Band Together COMMUNIQUES solicited bargaining unit employees for comments on the GAO Act of 2007 / Human Capital III.  Numerous GAO analysts responded to those requests and their input was incorporated into the attached recommendations.

Although the current legislation and the union's recommendations do not address all of our legislative priorities, we will have future opportunities to forward proposals to Congress.

If you have any questions, please contact one of the co-chairs of the Legislative Committee: Dan Meyer (Chicago), Jacqueline Harpp (HQ), and Ronald La Due Lake (HQ). You can also send comments to gaoanalysts@ifpte.org.
