GAO 2008 Tentative Pay Agreement

Information and Ratification Vote

February 11, 2008

 

 

On Friday, February 8, GAO management and the union negotiation committee reached a tentative agreement on 2008 pay for employees in the GAO Union bargaining unit.

 

It is now up the bargaining unit employees to accept or reject the tentative agreement.

 

 

Voting Instructions

 

The ratification vote will be conducted online through the Zoomerang survey application.  Each bargaining unit employee will receive an email through the survey application with "Gov't Accountability Office Union" in the sender line and "2008 Tentative Pay Agreement Ratification Vote" in the subject line.

 

The email will contain a link to the online voting website. Clicking on the button "Go to Ballot" on the introductory page of the website will take you to the ballot, where you can:

 

  • Click the box next to "Accept" to vote to ratify the 2008 GAO Tentative Pay Agreement, as outlined in documents attached to this email.

 

  • Click the box next to "Reject" to vote to not ratify the 2008 GAO Tentative Pay Agreement as outlined in documents attached to this email.

 

Each person in the GAO Union bargaining unit can vote once. Only ballots sent from a GAO email address will be considered valid. All votes must be cast by 8:00 PM EST, Thursday, February 14.

Reminder:  All bargaining unit members are invited to attend one of the following briefing sessions.  Union bargaining committee members and Interim Council members will be available to explain the agreement and answer your questions.  Bargaining unit members are authorized one hour of work time to attend one of these briefing sessions, which should be charged to code 997266
