Happy One-Year Anniversary to the Union!!!
Friday, September 19th marked the one-year
anniversary of the Union at
GAO. To mark the
occasion, employees in headquarters and the field offices held
parties to celebrate the successes of the past year and look
forward to the future. Employees throughout headquarters turned out
to make sure that the headquarters-based anniversary party was a
success. Guests
from inside and outside the bargaining unit came to enjoy the
ice cream and the conversation – including guards,
cafeteria staff and Gene Dodaro. Parties at the field offices were also very
successful with staff members and management celebrating and
supporting the benefits that the Union has brought to GAO over the last
year. Some field
offices that were not able to have parties last week will be
hosting parties this week.
At both headquarters and field office parties, many
people stayed to sign membership cards and many others asked the
experts questions about the membership drive and future plans
regarding the Union. Overall, turnout was
great and all look forward to future successes for the
Union.

following times. Field office staff may participate in any of
the sessions by calling 1-866-285-7778 (Passcode

Feedback
As
we get more volunteers, we have better ideas. To assist Analysts
in advancing their rights and representation within GAO, IFPTE
has developed an advocacy tool to allow Analysts to provide
feedback to the Union. GAO
Analysts are encouraged to sign up for the Action Center if they
haven’t already done so.
