The Constitution and Interim Agreement were
overwhelmingly ratified by voters. About one-third of bargaining union members
voted. Eighty-nine
percent of the 587 voting voted yes to ratify the interim
agreement and eighty-eight percent of the 584 voting voted yes
to ratify the Constitution.
The Union will be signing the interim agreement this
afternoon. The
agreement will become effective after Gene Dodaro, Acting CG,
signs the agreement, which we hope to be soon.
With ratification of the Constitution, we will be moving
forward with the election of officers followed by an election of
delegates to the Assembly for our permanent governing
structure. Only
those who have applied for membership and are paying dues will
be eligible to run and vote for these elected positions. For information about
