Greetings,

IMPORTANT CALL TO ACTION
Tuesday, October 27, 2009

THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS that caused the global economic crisis are back on their feet.

WHY - Because we bailed them out. Banks collected $15,000 for every man woman and child in America and unemployment continues to rise, workers are being forced to take furloughs and savings are dwindling, home equities are down, foreclosures are up, and small businesses continue to close. We’re seeing state budget cuts, shrinking pensions, sky-high credit card interest rates, outrageous bank fees, and services continue being cut in all of our communities.

Enough is enough.
It’s time to put people first.

IF YOU ARE ABLE - PLEASE join us outside the American Bankers Association convention to demand common sense financial reform that helps us rebuild our communities, our lives and our economy. We plan to join together outside their convention to demand common sense financial reform that helps us rebuild our communities, our lives and our economy. They will hear from Labor ON TUESDAY!

We’re going to remind the banks that they took a loan from us and the payment is PAST DUE.

Join AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka
TUESDAY, OCT. 27, 11 A.M.
Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers
301 E. North Water St.
Outside the American Bankers Association Convention
(Gather at 10:30 a.m. at Wacker and Michigan–we’ll march to the hotel)
