Hundreds of millions of dollars - including lots of our insurance premium dollars! - are being spent by an unholy alliance of insurers, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and the Republican right in an aggressive campaign to stop health care reform.

The question for us is:  Will we let them make health care  "Obama's waterloo" or will we make it the next big step in our march to Turn Around America?  August will tell!  It is critical that we take the time to contact our members of congress and let them know America's health care system is broken and you are looking to them to fix it after the August break.

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

The middle-class and all working families are looking to you in the most critical of times. Our concern is that the health care system is clearly broken. As our representative in Washington I am asking you to have the courage and to be bold to seek change of this failed system.

Working Americans and businesses are literally drowning in the costs for Health Care. Every 30 seconds someone files for medical bankruptcy. This is telling. Further, 47 million people in our country are without health coverage. Only half of the employers who provided retiree health coverage are still providing it today - a 50 percent drop in seven years.

I urge you to take action by supporting healthcare reform when you return from your August break. Congress has given this issue a thorough debate and across the country state legislatures have done the same. I ask that you stand up and be part of the solution to pass a healthcare reform bill.
