Greetings,
Good news on the TABOR-like proposal we
reported on earlier. It stalled in that House Rules
Committee, and let's hope it stays there. This was just
another way to implement elements of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights
we've come to know as TABOR.
Rescissions, Rescissions,
Rescisssions. They don't work. The Budget
bill will indeed be debated Wednesday and go ahead and get
settled in, as it is expected to take all day. They will
begin in the Senate Chambers at 10:30 AM. The cuts are so
damaging that the Governor has vowed to veto it in it's current
form. The rescission bill is SB 23 and we are
asking Senators to vote No on this bill. It hurts
vital state programs including Education (K-12 and
Post-Secondary) and our union brothers and sisters working in
state government. They need your support. Please
email your Senator now!
